What happens when an animal is in Leased Out or Boarded Out Status
When an animal is placed in Leased Out or Boarded Out Status it continues to have record keeping options and reminder displays as animals currently in the herd.
Once you have added an animal in either of these Statuses, several things will happen in the herd's user interface:
- The applicable option (Leased Out, Boarded Out) will display in the Status drop down filters in reports and herd views
- There will be a green left arrow icon next to the animal's name in
the scrolling herd list to indicate an animal owned by the herd is currently in the possession of others. Mousing-over the icon will display the actual Status type.
- The animal will not be listed in the "in my herd" report
- The animal will be listed in the "owned by my herd" report, with the current "out of herd" Status reflected
- The animal will be included in the "Currently leasing to others" or "Currently boarding with others" report as applicable
- Reminders for Kiddings, Health Events, Lactation dry-off, etc. will display on the Herd Dashboard
Once you end the Lease or Boarding period:
- The animal's Folder will be returned to its normal state
- The options "Previously leased to others" and "Previously boarded with others" will display on the report and herd view drop down filters
- The animal will appear in the "Previously leased to others" and "Previously boarded with others" reports
