Animals that are Leased In or Boarded In to a herd have the same record keeping and reminder options as animals owned by the herd, based on the subscription plan.

Once an animal has been added with either of these Sources, several things will happen in the herd's user interface:

• The applicable option (Leased In, Boarded in) will display in the Status drop down filters in reports and herd views
• There will be an orange right arrow icon next to the animal's name in the scrolling herd list to indicate an animal owned by others, but currently in the herd. Mousing-over the icon will display the actual Status type.
  
• The animal will be listed in the "in my herd" report, with the applicable Source listed
  
• The animal will be included in the "Currently leasing from others" or "Currently boarding with others" report as applicable
  
• Reminders for Kiddings, Health Events, Lactation dry-off, etc. will display on the Herd Dashboard
  

Once you end the Lease or Boarding period, the animal's Folder will be archived and reminders canceled, as would happen for any animal you owned and subsequently sold.
