Using multiple filters for a single report
As you can see here, using the filters for breed, age and gender all together narrow down a report's output to a very small subset of animals:
Why your report filters look different for every report
With the exception of the Sire and Dam filters, all of the report filter select lists dynamically build based on your herd's data set for the specific report you are running. This means you will always have just the values you need to narrow down the report's output to a subset of animals.
For example, here is the breed filter list for a Kidding Schedule:
And the Currently in Milk report for the same herd. The breed filter list is different as a different set of animals qualifies for this report:
