When to reactivate an archived Folder, and how to do it
You should reactivate the Folder for an animal when it re-enters your herd for any reason. Examples of when you would want to reactivate a Folder include:
- You have purchased an animal you have previously sold
- You have purchased an animal you previously leased in
- You have purchased an animal you previously boarded in
- An animal you are leasing out is returned to your herd
- An animal you are boarding out is returned to your herd
Reactivating the Folder rather than creating a new one will ensure you
have a comprehensive single record for the animal and will allow you to
maintain continuity of data in pedigrees and breeding records, avoid
duplicate administration of health events, and assess the animal's
individual performance, amongst other things.
To
reactivate an archived Folder, retrieve the Folder and do a "Change Status" action to the new applicable
Status. Once the animal's status has been changed it will appear in the
scrollable herd list once again.
