If you just want to include deceased kids (stillborn or died at birth) in the dam's kidding record, add the kid to her kidding record using the Add Kid link on the Add Kidding form, then select the appropriate birth status.
However, if you want to create reports kids that were stillborn, died at birth, or died after they were born, you'll want to do an Add Animal action just as you would do for a live kid, then process a "Change Status" action to Deceased. For stillborn and kids that died at birth, use the Date of Birth as the Date of Death. Including a note in Cause of Date will also help you better understand your death trends.
Creating a report of deceased kids
To get a report that includes all deceased kids in a single kidding season (or any particular date range), run the "Deceased" Herd Roster report, entering the to/from dates for Date of Birth and Date of Death you want the report to include:
